Amir Khan Biography
Aamir Khan was born on March 14th 1965 to Producer Tahir and his wife Zeenat Hussain. Aamir was a part of a Bollywood clan and made his debut as a child artiste in Uncle Nasir Hussain’s ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’ in 1973. In 1984 Aamir began his career with Ketan Mehta’s ‘Holi’, but his claim to fame was cousin Mansoor Khan’s ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ in which he co-starred with actress Juhi Chawla.
Aamir, who fell in love with his neighbourhood friend Reena, got secretly married to her in 1984 despite families’ opposition. Aamir’s career started on a great note, but his married status slowed things down; the actor however struck gold with Indra Kumar’s ‘Dil’; which got him back in business.
Aamir, who is highly meticulous when it comes to signing movies, has delivered some of the best Bollywood hits like ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘Rangeela’, ‘Raja Hindustani’ and ‘Ishq’.
Aamir also wrote the screenplay of ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke’ that was produced by Dad Tahir Hussain and was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The movie starred Aamir with Juhi Chawla. Aamir is the father of two kids Junaid and Aiara from first wife Reena. Aamir took a sabbatical as was going through a lot of turmoil in his personal life; the actor was having a clandestine affair with a British journalist Jessica Hines which was responsible for his divorce in 2002.
Aamir also has an illicit baby with Jessica named Jaan Hines who was born on September 14th 2003. After his break up with Jessica, the actor started dating his close friend Kiran Rao with whom he tied the knot on December 28th 2005. Aamir Khan is probably the only actor in Bollywood who boycotts all award ceremonies as he feels that awards in India are rigged.
